Latest Land Rover Diagnostic System SDD2 arrives at Les Potts
We are pleased to announce that we have the latest Land Rover Diagnostic System SDD2. Symptom Driven Diagnostic 2 (SDD2) with replace the original Symptom Driven Diagnostic (SDD) that we first used in July 2010. SDD2 strives towards providing the latest and most accurate diagnostic system for the Land Rover product range.
The SDD2 diagnostic system communicates seamlessly with the Land Rover Technical and Owner Publications Information Exchange (TOPIx). As we load up the vehicle to SDD2 it automatically loads up the Workshop manuals, Service Bulletins, Wiring Diagrams for that specific vehicle. This will help the technician browse TOPIx online thus giving the ability to browse and importantly feedback information for workshop manuals, electrical wiring diagrams etc.
Other features to the technician will be:-
- Online Symptoms updates
- Online SPA - SPA Pinpoint tests downloads
- Online DTCs - Diagnostic Trouble Codes
- Online Bulletins
- Online PDI - pre delivery inspection & service sheets
One other key change that is introduced as part of SDD updates will surround authentication. In order to provide better security and protect SDD and TOPIx information, the mandatory requirement to log in every 12 hours or every 4 hours if the Panasonic Toughbook is left idle.

“In July 2011 Les Potts 4 Wheel Drive becomes the first in the UK to order the new Land Rover dealer standard Diagnostic platform from SPX. The CF-19 MK3 Panasonic Toughbook Laptop was designed with SDD2 in mind. We are honoured to be allowed access to SDD2 before some local Land Rover dealers”
